Sterlite Power secures new orders worth INR 1200 crores in Q2 FY’25
Sterlite Power secures INR 1,200 crore orders for GPS business, including India’s first 144-fiber OPGW cable, high-performance conductors, and MV-HV-EHV power cables, strengthening global and domestic market leadership.
Sterlite Power, a leading global power products and solutions business, has secured new orders worth INR 1200 crores across its Global Products and Services (GPS) business in Q2 FY’25. With cumulative orders wins reaching INR 2700 crores for H1 FY’25, Sterlite Power continues to solidify its market leadership domestically while expanding its reach globally into new regions. The GPS business of Sterlite Power is focused on high-performance, sustainable products, and specialized Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) services.

Key Order Highlights are as follows:
High-Performance Conductors & OPGW:
The Overhead Conductor business is witnessing remarkable demand in both domestic and international markets. Sterlite has bagged new orders totalling INR 800 crores in Q2 FY’25 for high-performance conductors and Optical Ground Wire (OPGW) products. In the domestic segment, the major orders were towards supply of conductors for Green Energy Transmission projects including Angul-Paradeep, Yalwar, and Runija-Indore Transmission Lines. The export segment saw order wins for high-performance green products from The United States of America, the European Union, Africa, and the Middle East. The company also received India’s first 144-fiber count OPGW cable order from a state utility, which reassures client confidence in company to develop solutions. Export orders for OPGW have been confirmed from regions of Europe and Africa with enormous traction in domestic market from the Power Grid Corporation of India and state utilities.
Power Cables:
The Power Cables business is on a continuous growth trajectory and has been consolidating its position in the wire and cable segment. The company has won orders totalling INR 380 Cr in Q2 FY’25 covering a mix of Medium Voltage (MV), High Voltage (HV), and Extra High Voltage (EHV) cables. The major orders were towards supply of cables for state utilities and PSUs.
